Guide to Ordering

"The Dock Doctors" have been designing, manufacturing, and installing residential and commercial waterfront products since 1985. After several years working in the marine industry we have obtained a significant understanding regarding the level of structural integrity required in our region. Our territory has grown tremendously over the years and now covers all through the Northeast. This broad region along with thousands of dock systems that we have installed has provided an extensive range of knowledge and expertise.

We now have two locations for the convenience of our customers. Our home office and manufacturing facility is located in Ferrisburg, VT and our Lake George, NY showroom is just north of the village. Please call to inquire about visiting one of our locations or to speak with our sales staff about your next waterfront project.

Planning

Plan your dock project well in advance. Timeframes are affected by several factors such as product demand, permitting, manufacturing, service, and weather conditions.

Estimates/Proposals

We often can provide an estimate based on initial information obtained about your recreational needs and your site. A final proposal is prepared once a site visit is performed to confirm the necessary details.

Site Visits

In most cases we try to provide a cost estimate prior to visiting your site. However, there are situations that require a site visit in order to determine your needs prior to providing an estimate or proposal.

Permitting

Some custom projects may require a permit, depending on the scope of the project and the body of water involved. The Dock Doctors have several years of experience working with many of the State, Town, and Local agencies to obtain these permits for you.

Production

Once all the designs and permits are in place, your project will then be placed on our production schedule. Work is performed on a first come first serve basis — time frames will vary pending workload.

Service/Installation

The last step after your project is through production is the actual installation by our service department. This is entirely based on weather conditions, schedule, and time of year that you placed your order.
